# Summary
I’m a current Junior in college studying Cybersecurity. I’m involved with my local tech community and heavily involved in the Association of Business Information Technology students at Missouri State University
## Why Cyber Security?
Its a common question why did I want to jump into cybersecurity?
Well my initial dream was to dive into the world of Physical Security and Law Enforcement. but I found myself wanting to combine my skills with tech with my knowledge in that field. after doing some research I found youtubers like John Hammond, Eric Parker and others that really sparked my interest into the world of Cybersecurity.
## My Journey into Cybersecurity
When I began looking into careers in high school I had first set my eyes on law enforcement as my career of choice. I event went as far to take an entire additional class for it! I was able through that class to obtain a physical security job at an amusement park. Where I learned a lot about securing assets as well as people. I think that is really where my passion started to grow for this industry. While researching degrees for college I landed myself on YouTube pages about cybersecurity and was hooked. next thing I knew I deep dived straight into a degree about it and haven’t looked back!
## Professional Experience
Falcon Complete Security Analyst Intern, CrowdStrike
In November of 2024 I was officially offered to join the team at Crowdstrike as a Falcon Complete Security Analyst. I am overjoyed to start in this position and learn from the amazing team!
Security Supervisor, Worlds of Fun
Since may 2022 I’ve been working at Worlds of Fun as a Security Officer. I’ve learned countless things about physical security, law enforcement, and property security during my time there. I was promoted in July of 2024 to a Supervisor Position where I oversee the day to day security operations of the amusement park.
Involvement Ambassador, Missouri State University
Since my sophomore year I've had the opportunity to work in the Office of Student Engagement as an involvement ambassador! This has been an amazing opportunity for me to help students get engaged with organizations on campus. I am able to use my technology skills to assist not only myself but many others in this position. Building this new position from year one has been a great time!
## Key Projects
Recently there has been a lot I'm working on!
###Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Training
This year I've been working with a team of 8 students at Missouri State University to train for the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition And have been honored to be selected to be their Team Leader. so far I have lead multiple training session including:
- Incident response 101
- Active defense against red teamers
- Proper documentation for security
- and more!
I am hopeful as our team competes in the Midwest CCDC competition come February that will move on to the national competition!
###Homelab
Best way I can describe my personal lab is my own test corporate network. I run several services that I can use myself while also testing different tools and solutions to problems that I encounter. What other place can I run tons of vulnerability scanners without getting in trouble! I run a highly virtualized network that is constantly changing and has been a ton of fun to experiment with!
## Certifications

Google Cybersecurity Certificate
One of the first certificates I obtained was straight from google! This course was a great introduction to the world of cybersecurity and gave me a lot of hands on labs to learn from!

Comptia A+ Certification
I obtained this certification as a proof of my technical skills with computers! While not a security specific certification. it allows me to show my deep understanding of the industry!

CompTIA Network+ Certification
At the end of my Basic Networking class at Missouri State University I had the opprotunity to replace my final test with the Network+ exam and I took it! I scored one of the highest scores that my instructor has seen in some time and enjoyed the studying process and network security sections!
